Els Viaene
Beginning her career in documentary-making for Belgian national radio, Els Viaene’s realistic treatment of sound has evolved into more abstract environments, using musicality and the natural rhythm of ambient and electronic sound that she animates according to the principle of collage. Working on these sound materials for performances but also for video art or architectural installations, she makes the listeners travel in imaginary naturalistic and organic environments.

TARAB
Tarab (né Tarab Sprod) has been working on the fringes of the Melbourne sound world for the last eight years, primarily examining the interplay of field recordings and sounds generated from found objects. His work explores the possibilities of personal chartings and reactions to the urban environment, revelling in the decay and detritus to be found there. Interested in more than documentation, Tarab attempts to sonically trigger, form, and recreate the interior environments which occur through our interaction with the commonplace and often overlooked.
